The Trani distrit has the largest calcareous
deposit of puglia and, besind this, the district included the area
of Andria, Barletta, Bisceglie, Corato and Minervino.
The Material, once again of Cretaceous origin, has a marked compactness,
with white.ivory background tonalities and faint yellow or red streaking.
The commercial varietis are rathes numerous, the most diffused varietis
such as Biancone, Bronzetto
and Serpeggiante
The material, quarried at Minervino, further
enriches the availability of stone which already strands among the
most important exclusive stones of Puglia.
We are dealing with a fine-grained material, its delicacy being highlighted
by the Havana-broun tonality of the background and presence of well
placed stylolites and bands.
The suitability of use is confirmed by, among other things, a competitive
impact streght and a crushing srtenght that results to be higher than
the regional average. |
